- Preoperative Consultations and Seminars
As an essential part of your pre-approval for surgery you will complete preoperative consultations and undergo testing with dietitians, psychologists, and other healthcare providers to qualify you for the surgery. Your LivLite Bariatric guide will closely assist you throughout the entire process.

We have experts to work with you and your health insurance company to apply for the procedure. We will act as your advocate to help your insurance company to recognize severe obesity as a medical condition and approve your surgery. Return to top.
The surgery itself takes between one to three hours depending on the procedure. Your hospital stay will last one to four days, again depending on the procedure. During your time in the hospital, you will receive information about your post surgical care and diet after you have recovered from surgery. Return to top.
After discharge, your recovery will continue at home. Depending on your condition, which procedure you undergo, and the type of work you do it could take up to six weeks before you are able to return to work. Your physician will help you to make this decision. Return to top.
Post-operatively, we encourage you to make several visits so that we can monitor your progress. We also offer monthly group support meetings to discuss any issues you may have, encourage you in your weight loss, and help you maintain it. Our newsletter offers more support to all our patients.
